I wonder if Walt could still use my old laptop computer. I got a new one today and the old one still works very well.

I can scrub it and set it up for him and then ship it off. He could keep in touch more easily that way I think.

Dear Dennis and Barb.

I have put off writing this letter because I didn't really know where to start. It is a long story. First of all you knew that Walt was in bad shape, sleeping nearly all days and not taking his meds when he was supposed to and not eating properly as Nancy too was in poor health. I tried to tell them to see if they could get some help in to assist them in cooking or whatever but that wasn't successful and so things just continued to get worse.

Nancy's feet got infected, and they took her to the hospital Got to the point where she couldn't walk. She has been in out of the hosp. and rehab since Thanksgiving and still don't know when she will be able to go home. In the

mean time Walt was at the house alone and we were all trying to call him and no answer, so his neighbor went over crawled thru the dog door and found him on the floor where he had fallen Off to the local hospital where.

he was incoherent for a few days then they sent him to a place in Phoenix for such patients. He was there for two weeks, and they wouldn't release him unless he had somewhere to go, so his son David took him home with him. He

took him for a shave and haircut, toe nails etc. as he was a mess, and he sees that his medicine got all straightened out. He is eating properly. Looking 1005 better and is more like his old self. He is still out in left field but seems to be doing better there too.

David has taken him to the hospital almost every day to see Nancy and her disposition is something to be desired. She doesn't like David and only God knows why because if it hadn't been for him I don't know what Walt would.

David has gotten a lady that comes to the house 5 days a week 6 hours a day and she cooks or whatever had to be done. I don't know if he got her thru the social worker or the VA Anyway he has made his appointments with the va for him and takes him to

them... All this is addition to his working and taking care of his little girl part of the time' The whole thing has been one big mess. This sorta brings you up to date on the situation. Can't see a date on her going home but all I know is they sure can't take care of each other. hope to hear from you soon Mom.
